Shift: Days with on-call rotation
A RN – Surgical is a professional, registered nurse who assumes responsibility, with guidance from clinical resource people, as needed, for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of a nursing plan of care in response to the needs of his/her assigned patients, providing direct nursing care to these patients on a designated unit. Clinical nurses have the authority and are held accountable for decisions specific to the following areas of patient care management. Surgical departments include Endoscopy, POCC/PACU, and the Operating Room.
Minimum Qualifications Education: Required – Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
Training: Required Understanding, tact, and patient in dealing with unit personnel, Medical Staff, patients, and families. Ability to observe and interpret patient's response to health problems and care. Ability and willingness to assume primary responsibility for patient care.
Experience: Required – N/A Certification, Licensure, Registration Requirements: Current credentials are required for all practitioners requiring a license, certification or registration to perform their responsibilities. Licensure: Required – Current NH RN License Certification: Required Adv Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire BLS – Healthcare Provider Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire (PACU only)
