My favorite memory working at LRGHealthcare is when I met my husband, Reed Liset, while volunteering here in February of 2012.
“It’s a privilege meeting nurses of all backgrounds and sharing what it’s like to grow professionally while caring for the Lakes Region community. Nursing is at the heart of LRGHealthcare’s mission, and I’m proud to work here!”
Corey Gately, MLADC
The LRGHealthcare Bridge to Recovery Walk always stands out to me. It has been amazing watching our community come together to support the efforts of substance abuse and mental health treatment services.
“LRGHealthcare is doing some unique things to continue to progress forward with substance abuse treatment and I am proud to be part of a team that believes in providing these services.”
Jonathan Carter, RN
I commute to LRGHealthcare all the way from Fryeburg, Maine - a drive I’ve made for the last 14 years.
“I never thought I would keep making the drive for so long, but there are many reasons I have stayed. I became accustomed to working with so many doctors in the ED that I feel are outstanding. I have learned so much from them and become a much better nurse because of them. I have also developed strong working relationships with all the departments, which would be hard to leave behind. And, finally, it’s the commitment of the ED management team to finding the right staff and improving our patient flow and outcomes, making our ED stand out among others.”

What We Say
I’m glad to be able to give to each patient my best. Every day is a learning experience and nursing is a continuing learning process.
Thomas Kretz, RN, Franklin Regional Hospital, DRF (Mental Health)
In my department, we do not serve patients directly, but we serve the people who do. It is important to ensure direct caregivers have what they need to provide quality care. It is rewarding to know I make a difference.
Tim Rice, Materials Management
Advocating for our patients has been my most important responsibility. It has been a pleasure coming to work at LRGHealthcare every day and facing new and different challenges to resolve!
Linda Glassett, Accounts Resolution Manager, Patient Financial Services
What We Do
LRGH community involvement
The lakeside and surrounding community is at the heart of everything we do, which is why we are committed to making a difference every year.
We participate in several local events and provide donations to charities including:
The Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction: This event raised over $500,000 in 2017. LRGHealthcare has supported this event for over 20 years. Employees participate by manning the phone banks, departments create baskets of items to be auctioned off, employees contribute and bid on hundreds of auction items, we participate by hosting a chair for the 24 hour bar stool challenge and by participating in fundraising events throughout the years to take care of the needs of the Lakes Regions Children.
The Second Bridge for Recovery Walk to support Mental Health and Substance Misuse is held in Franklin at FRH. The walk which is put on by LRGH is to provide a bridge of funds to support anyone seeking recovery in the time before their insurance begins coverage for Medically Assisted Treatment or to provide Mental Health support. In 2018 the walk raised over $20,000.
Tanger Fit for A Cure is a 5K that has been hosted by Tanger Outlets for the past 10 years. LRGH staff, volunteer and also walk to support Breast Cancer needs at LRGHealthcare. Close to 900 participants this year have helped to raise funds for this great cause. Over the years this event has raised thousands of dollar.
United Way: LRGHealthcare has a long standing tradition of running a Corporate Campaign, encouraging our employees to contribute to the local organizations that support our patients and community. The money raised is matched by the organization. Employees also participate in the Annual Day of Caring.
“I feel very connected to this hospital. I see all the good that this hospital does for our community and our patients and I am very proud to be a part of that.” – Heidi Smith, Volunteer Services Coordinator
