Lakeside Stories

liset

Kaitlynn Liset, RN

My favorite memory working at Concord Hospital – Laconia is when I met my husband, Reed Liset, while volunteering here in February of 2012.
“It’s a privilege meeting nurses of all backgrounds and sharing what it’s like to grow professionally while caring for the Lakes Region community. Nursing is at the heart of Concord Hospital – Laconia’s mission, and I’m proud to work here!”

Corey Gately, MLADC

The Concord Hospital – Laconia Bridge to Recovery Walk always stands out to me. It has been amazing watching our community come together to support the efforts of substance abuse and mental health treatment services.
“Concord Hospital – Laconia is doing some unique things to continue to progress forward with substance abuse treatment and I am proud to be part of a team that believes in providing these services.”

Jonathan Carter, RN

I commute to Concord Hospital – Laconia all the way from Fryeburg, Maine - a drive I’ve made for the last 14 years.
“I never thought I would keep making the drive for so long, but there are many reasons I have stayed. I became accustomed to working with so many doctors in the ED that I feel are outstanding. I have learned so much from them and become a much better nurse because of them. I have also developed strong working relationships with all the departments, which would be hard to leave behind. And, finally, it’s the commitment of the ED management team to finding the right staff and improving our patient flow and outcomes, making our ED stand out among others.”

What We Say

kretz

I’m glad to be able to give to each patient my best. Every day is a learning experience and nursing is a continuing learning process.

Thomas Kretz, RN, Concord Hospital – Franklin, DRF (Mental Health)
In my department, we do not serve patients directly, but we serve the people who do. It is important to ensure direct caregivers have what they need to provide quality care. It is rewarding to know I make a difference.
Tim Rice, Materials Management

Advocating for our patients has been my most important responsibility. It has been a pleasure coming to work at Concord Hospital – Laconia every day and facing new and different challenges to resolve!

Linda Glassett, Accounts Resolution Manager, Patient Financial Services
