A RN – Telemetry is a professional, registered nurse who assumes responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of a nursing plan of care in response to the needs of their assigned patients, providing direct nursing care to the patients on a designated telemetry unit. Clinical nurses are held accountable for their practices and decision making specific to the area of practice.
Minimum Qualifications Education: Required – Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Preferred – Bachelor of Nursing Degree
Understanding, compassion, and patience in dealing with interdisciplinary team, patients, and families. Ability to observe and interpret patient's response to health problems and care. Ability and willingness to assume primary responsibility for patient care. IV competency completed within 6 months of hire. Experience: Preferred Previous nursing experience Telemetry experience Certification, Licensure, Registration Requirements: Current credentials are required for all practitioners requiring a license, certification or registration to perform their responsibilities. Licensure: Required – Current NH RN license Certification: Required BLS – Healthcare Provider ACLS and basic dysrhythmia course completion within 60 days of hire Telemetry certification within 6 months of hire
